I have no idea how to go about even TRYING to find an internship. Like, I'm lost.
I really want to go home for the summer, but if I can't find an internship in Santa Rosa, I won't be able to go back.
Also, it's really hard to find internships in little towns like SR or SLO. All the internships are in SF or LA. I don't want to commute. I don't want to move some place else, especially since those are two EXPENSIVE places. And scary unless you go with someone you know.
Anyway, I'm freaked out. But it will all work out... right?

it'll all work out!!
ReplyDeletefind a company you want to intern for, either in slo or santa rosa, and just send them your resume and a cover letter explaining that you'd like to intern for them, for no pay, this summer for school credit. no one's going to turn away free work.
i did this freshman year for a magazine that didn't offer internships. it worked out great!
you'll do just fine, lovely!
